Legatone Hand Chimes KONTAKT

Legatone Hand Chimes KONTAKT
Hand chimes are musical instruments which are rung by hand, similar to handbells. Typically, they are tuned square tubes with an external clapper mechanism. The hand chime is characterized by a soft, clear, sonorous tone.

A rich sustain of up to 20 seconds or more is carefully recorded with 24 bit / 96 kHz high resolution sound quality. By sampling three sustains for each scale, it corresponds to RoundRobin which produces different samples each time, and it is possible to play a more natural hand chime sound.

Bad Cat Samples The Performachord KONTAKT Bad Cat Samples The Performachord KONTAKT
"The Performachord" is a reed based instrument thats somewhat of a cross between an accordion, and an organ. It is also commonly known as a "Chord Organ", among a couple other names. The left hand is played by "push down" buttons offering different voiceing's including: Roots, Major, Minor, & Seventh. Although this may seem basic to some, with a little creativity, and a decent grasp of theory, one can actually create numerous chord voicings using a combination of these buttons alone.

On the right hand, it has a keyboard to allow for melodies to be played in conjunction with the chords, or simply to be used for solo melody purposes. The character of its sound is unmistakeable, and easily fits well into the common "accordion based sound" that composers turn to day after day for TV/film work. However, it is far from from a one trick pony, and can easily be used in modern EDM/House music for either chord or melody.

We were able to get our hands on one of these great sounding instruments and went to town! The level of sampling and realism that we were striving for was basically such that one would not be able to differentiate between a recording of the actual instrument vs playing the instrument patch. The result, is what we believe to be the most accurately & deeply sampled perforachord on the market today.

The Big Swing Grand for Kontakt 5 was designed to be the best, warmest, cleanest and most importantly, most playable piano sample available. Created by a pianist, "road tested” on gigs and sessions, much effort and many innovations went into this project.

Weighing in at nearly 10GB of 24-bit samples (uncompressed) this is one of the most deeply-sampled piano libraries available.

....:::: Accurate Dynamics ::::....
All 88 notes were sampled using a hand-made calibrated key-playing device lovingly known as "Ted Stryker.” The use of this consistent striking force allows for very accurate dynamics. The velocities were calibrated to be approximately 2db apart in volume, and range from triple-forte (as hard as is possible) to the point of barely triggering at all.

This yields the true dynamic range of 33db, much wider than the typical sample set, and completely faithful to the true touch of the instrument. There are 16 velocities on most notes. These samples were left at their natural volumes, rather than "normalized,” to ensure absolute accuracy. Careful programming allows for smooth transitions between the velocity zones.

We're excited to announce the release of Angelic Chimes, an extensively-sampled struck chimes sample library for Kontakt. The chimes have a pure, vibrant tone with a tremendous amount of sustain--in fact, some of the chimes ring for well over 30 seconds. Of course, this can be altered using the built-in attack, decay, and release controls, which allow you to sculpt the chimes’ volume envelope into rich pad sounds or short percussive hits.

The chimes were sampled in collaboration with Chris Poehler of Lujon Audio, who arranged and oversaw the entire sample recording at WaterSound Studios in Studio City, California--the same studio where our Pure Jazz Vibes and Paradise Marimba sample libraries were recorded. Like the vibraphone and marimba libraries, Angelic Chimes features close, mid, and far mic signals, giving you ample flexibility over the tone of the chimes. That way you can get anything from a close, dry tone, to a distant sound that mixes well with large ensembles.

The library is comprised of six sets of chimes covering bass, baritone, tenor, alto, soprano, and sopranino ranges. These sets of chimes are available as a single, combined playable patch as well individual ranges mapped across the entire keyboard. There’s also the ability to extend the playable range to cover the entire keyboard, stretching the samples as necessary to access pitches outside of the naturally-sampled notes.

ANGKLUNG is the third release in the Creative Differences series, a percussion instrument library that focuses on quality, organic percussion sounds recorded and designed for the Kontakt user.

Following in the footsteps of HUMDRUM and THE BENDS and WORLDLY GOODS it features a collection of 24 tuned Bamboo Angklung.

The Angklung is a musical instrument from Indonesia now popular throughout South East Asia. Made of two to four bamboo tubes attached to a bamboo frame. The tubes are carved to have a resonant pitch when struck and are often tuned to octaves. The base of the frame is held in one hand, whilst the other hand strikes the instrument. This causes a repeating note to sound.

ANGKLUNG Highlights:

23 Kontakt patches of single hits, rhythms, rattles and effects.

1570 samples recorded at 24-96 kHz with contact and stereo microphones.

We're not sure what the standard Angklung set is made up of but ours has the following...

18 Angklung that have 2 bamboo rattles that play an octave apart.

6 Angklung that have 3 rattles each that play a tonic, major 3rd and a fifth. The Major chord Angklung have been kept as separate patches

The single patches have 10 round robins of both up and down playing. The up stroke plays on key release and the volume of this stroke can be adjusted using the mod wheel.

Angklung -The Bamboozler also features a few patches that aren’t bamboo derived. You also get The Bambonezler a patch made up of bones, shells and seed pods.

The Bamstonezler a patch of slate stone hits that have been tuned and will play chromatically.

Features:

23 Patches of Tuned Bamboo Angklung

24bit 96kHz Multisamples (1570 samples)

2.58GB Core Library (1.4GB via lossless compression)

Note: Requires Full Version Kontakt 5.3.0 or higher
